H&G Global Supplies is a new start-up primarily engaged in supplying Medical PPE goods to both Federal, state, and local agencies. We are seeking a seasoned Government bid proposal writer to join our growing team. We will pay a fix price per RFQ, or RFP submitted, along with 10% commission on for every contract successfully awarded
The Proposal Writer works closely with the CEO to develop a comprehensive final product that is compliant with the RFP requirements, compelling, and highly rated by the client. Clearly articulating differentiators, strengths, and client insight by citing specific work performed, issues resolved, and metrics that meet or exceed the RFP requirements. The ideal person will be a skilled writer, adept at communicating with team members and key staff across the organization. Responsibilities: Review client RFP and Statement of Work (SOW) to help determine how to structure the response to be compliant, compelling, and highly rated by the client Based on Government requirements from the RFP, work with the CEO to identify possible past performance references that closely match the requirements. Solicit approval from operating companies to be used as references. Develop content for each proposal, and work with PMs to validate that the content accurately reflects work being performed. If a past performance questionnaire is required, work with the CEO to pre-populate any sections containing contract information (account name, dollar value, period of performance, services provided, etc.) and keep in contact with the PM to make sure their client completes and returns the questionnaire before the due date. Create the comprehensive work product based on input from the CEO. Incorporate feedback based on proposal draft reviews to ensure the final narrative is compliant, compelling, and high scoring. Plan content using techniques such as templates and annotated outlines. Office environment. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree 2 years of experience working in Federal Government proposal development, ideally using the Shipley proposal process and developing storyboards, mock-ups, proposal outlines. Working knowledge and efficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Understanding of Federal Government proposal development process and proven writing experience 2+ years of experience with proposals, research and writing Must be flexible, highly motivated, and able to clearly and concisely write past performance descriptions and convey knowledge of the client’s mission and business objectives and how our solution meets or exceeds requirements Excellent writing and editing skills Able to interview ceo to obtain the information needed for each citation Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint Strong project and people management skills Demonstrated ability to manage time and deliverables under tight deadlines Shipley or equivalent training/experience preferred
