We are looking for ambitious front and back end engineers to help develop the proof of concept for TrewLink – a peer to peer recruitment and support platform helping the NHS in the fight against COVID-19 recruit specialised foreign healthcare workers quickly and cheaply. The Why: With expert modeling predicting a second surge in Autumn/Winter we need to spin up a demonstrable product in the next 3-4 months. We are part of SimDH’s health tech accelerator and this project will be delivered as part of a formal research paper around the efficacy of interventions used to transition foreign-trained healthcare workers into the NHS. In addition to supporting the NHS and its fight against COVID-19, as we expand into more STEM industries you have the opportunity to be part of something that can help Britain attract the best foreign talent as well as improving the wellbeing of foreign-skilled professionals, helping this vulnerable group transition more successfully, and to do their best work and live their best lives in the UK. You: Above everything else, we are looking for passion and enthusiasm in the problem that we are trying to solve. In addition to good communication, teamwork, work ethic, diligence, divergent thinking, and a can-do attitude. We are building this platform from scratch. Skills we are looking for: Essential (candidates need not have all, some are fine) • React (essential) • Node • JavaScript • PostgreSQL or MySQL • Amazon Cloud services. Desirable: • React Native • Google Analytics and Mixpanel Experience and interest: • Building of community type platforms (emphasis on communication and collaboration tools) • An interest in gaming and knowledge of gamification principles.
