Expected duration: Ongoing App for Security Industry Product Phase 1: Need an Android app that will communicate, program or retrieve status of an access control device via cellular connection. The device currently accepts and functions by send SMS texts and receiving SMS text feedback to the user. The app will use the same SMS command structure (send SMS) but functions or commands in the app will be icons or buttons the user simply presses in the app. For responses from the access system, a small window in the app will be used to display system responses. This is the base version of the app. Intend to add additional features once the basic functions are operational and proves concept. Such features would include initiating an email download or up load, sending data files via an IP connection and other features. Those are Phase 2 developments. Require list of completed projects, reviews and references. Highly cost sensitive project but likely to be long term as the product evolves and we add web server integration, IoS and other advanced features.
Examples and other Requirements: Example: Current SMS text message to control Door 1: *40*1*1234*## - Result: Door 1 released for programmed time. App Function: Icon - "Open Door 1" User presses icon - Door 1 opens for programmed time App receives confirmation message in App window.
Total Current Commands: 80 - Expected: 99 - commands tested and fully debugged in SMS format
Tiny database desired to store user entries within app (less than 100 names and phone numbers) Ability to export database files in CSV format
Password protection on App - (Authorized credential, PIN etc. to use app - with failure lock out)
Intuitive but easy to use User Interface Open to different layouts: Tabs, side icons, best practices
Will send a full specification of Phase 1 goals and milestones to chosen candidate.
