What I would like to do is create a “club” called the tenclub.
The idea is to promote the page on facebook and instagram providing potential consumers with an enticing offer to attract them to our website.
Basically, in a similar way to the two sites I had provided links to, we want a page creating. The page ‘10club’ is set up in the main header on the home page if you click that it takes you to the ten club page.
This is where we would like you to create us a new page.
Periodically, (possibly monthly or bi-monthly) we want to offer 10 copies of 10 posters available to visitors at a reduced price of £10 each.
So the idea would be to feature 10 posters at each event. on the page. We would also like posters in previous events to remain on this or overflow pages, so people can look back and see which have already appeared. Although they will have missed them during an event we would still like them to be able to click through and purchase them at full price if they want to. We want the last events poster to state that they are Expired from the offer. I have shown this as an expired box underneath the relevant pictures but maybe it would be easier to just add a full width header stating expired and have the expired box move themselves below the header at the end of each new event.
Initially we would like to be able to allow a visitor to buy one of each poster (So a maximum of 10 different posters) But we would like to build in the ability to change this to 1 poster per customer if we start getting people attracted to the club/site.
On the page we will give a brief summary of what the ten club is and include a signup/login area. We want people to have to signup to the club, giving their names and email addresses including a tick box that gives us permission to be able to send them details of offers and future tenclub events. Visitors will not be able to buy from the tenclub section without signing up. We require the name/email information to be gathered in the Users section of the Dashboard under a new role title called 10Club members. We also need the peple who have already signed up to be able to login if they revisit. Would we need them to be able to include password details or could it be set up that the backend automatically knows that they have visited before so they dont need to login again??? We intend to use the email information to target members via mailchimp with information about forthcoming events.
Further to this there will only be 10 copies of each poster available in the offer, so we would like a countdown of the amount left to buy as they sell.
I have attached an image of how I image the page will look. Any feedback, thoughts or suggestions would be gratefully received.
I also think it would be a good idea to include something on the Checkout page form that has t be filled in for us to fulfil the order. This way we might be able to ‘convert’ visitors who are purchasing a poster, but have no idea of what the ten club is, So we’d include a tickbox (below the email address) giving them a chance to join the tenclub here as well. Maybe with something that gives them an option to go to the tenclub page for a look. Possibly even a banner. But I don’t want to get too carried away at the minute.
Hopefully this all makes enough sense for you to understand my thought process. If it is something you can and would like to get involved with, could you please advise of any further suggestions, likely costings and timescales.
