Expected duration: 1 - 2 weeks The Job We are looking for a talented front and back end web developer with experience interactive design and WordPress to bring the new Equippd website to life!
The front end design has been approved and now needs WordPress implementation within a relatively tight turnaround (End of September). The development of the website is a project-based job with a fixed price (negotiable), however there may be the opportunity to provide ongoing maintenance / bug-fixing on an ad-hoc basis on completion.
Essential Skills: Proven experience using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery Experience using WordPress is essential Understanding of or experience in implementing SEO best practices Javascript experience in building client-side UIs PHP programming, used as a web backend and for stand-alone scripts and applications. SQL databases with experience of schema design, debugging and performance issues. Experience developing/ implementing API’s Experience in developing responsive websites Excellent time-keeping and the ability to meet deadlines
Desirable Skills Attention to detail, from architecture through to visual style and usability Have troubleshooting/problem solving ability. The work will often involve identifying and trying to fix problems within web pages An understanding of the role of popular frameworks, libraries, and web build tooling; when to use them and when not to Well organised and structured in approach Strong interpersonal skills in dealing directly with non- developers Experience implementing and coding custom RSS Mailchimp newsletters from within WordPress Experiencing in using / implementing a CDNs
