I've built a prototype app already using Glide. It's media aggregator that pull RSS feeds of podcasts and collects YouTube channels/playlist. Think of the app as a TED Mobile App but for a specific industry. The goal is for users to discover and explore new content.
If you have not already, go and and download the TED mobile app. This is essentially what I'm building but of course a little different.
Users can favorite media they like, comment, and rate. The app should help them discover new content based on their ratings or other input. They can also look media up by categories. Search is a also a component. We would need to ingest transcripts from YT and Podcasts to help build a search engine.
Recommendation Engine and Discovery
Would like users to be recommended media based on what they liked before and/or go to a discover tab to find new media.
As for technology, I want something simple but sustainable. I'm thinking react native is the way to go, and maybe even simpler using AWS Amplify. I've also noticed that Bubble could work as well. These apps will be published to the appstore. I'm thinking a NoSQL backend since we're pulling RSS/XML documents and probably JSON documents from YouTube API's.

I would prefer one developer vs a whole team, but I can be flexible.
About Us:
We're two people, one very technical and the other a designer. So UI and design will be in house and will be ready for you. Going to be looking or clean, efficient, and modern code. We're bootstrapping this for now.
