Expected duration: Not sure We are an online merchandise company requiring a new website. The new site will look very similar to our existing site but the new site will address the problems we are currently experiencing, namely very poor, slow page loading times. This has been extremely damaging for our ability to function as a company and so we seek a web-designer/developer to provide us a new site. We are also taking this opportunity to rebrand ourselves with a new trading name and logo, which will be provided. Our requirements: A new site that functions similar to our existing site i.e. Front page Megamenu Dropdowns: Subcategories, sub-subcategories etc. Product page with pricing index Potential for on-page pricing (currently not a feature) Checkout About us, T&Cs etc will be imported from existing site or provided anew. Social media links Products loadable and editable via spreadsheets (CSV, EXCEL etc) Site maintenance Other
Things to note.
Our existing website is listed below and you will see the problem we are experiencing with very slow page loading speeds. This isn’t just a matter of fine tuning or reconfiguring, we have already tried that route but with worse results. The problem is the nature of the themes, and poor use of coding (at least that is what we have been led to believe).
We are open-minded to proposals offering to code from the ground up e.g.(php, java, CSS, html5 etc) or proposals employing a website builder e.g.(WP, Woo commerce, Joomla etc). The absolute most important aspect, will be to deliver a site that has lightning quick page-loading speeds and ease of use ensuring a pleasurable and unimpeded user experience. Speed kills or should I say lack of it! It will need the same ability for products, pricing, meta titles, images functionality our site currently has, or improved!
Access to our existing site backend along with example sites will be provided once we have whittled down to a few potential candidates.
Additionally very important things to consider:
All monies shall be kept in eschew & only agreed to be released once all our goals have been met to our complete satisfaction. No part payments no haggling if the job isn’t up to scratch. The reason for this is that the last developers let us down badly and we were left with a poorly performing site and to rub salt in the wound, out of pocket.
Only candidates with a verifiable resumé need apply.
Due to the very high volume of bids, please allow 2/3 days for a reply but we cannot respond to them all so if we do not respond we are not interested. Apologies in advance.
