This is a personal project building an updated blog site for family. I'm Head of Engineering at a tech startup and my job isn't allowing me enough time to finish the project. Happy to offer mentoring and guidance for a more junior developer who wants to add a well designed website to their portfolio.
Expected Tasks: - Translate mobile/desktop designs into a responsive website. Demographic is 50/50 mobile/desktop users so we will follow mobile-first methodology. - Configure JS schema for Sanity backend. - Integrate Sanity GraphQL API (auto-generated from schema) to fetch content. - Optimise for Google Lighthouse score.
Scope of remaining work: - Several small layout components. - Mobile hamburger menu - CTA components - Advertising layout components (ads to be added later) - Site footer - Social share component - Subscriber signup component (connect to serverless function) - Article template - should handle various CMS content e.g. blog posts, recipes - Infinite scrolling from one article to another automatically selected - Search component integrating Sanity GROQ - Bespoke pages - About Us, Work With Us, Network, Privacy Policy - Category pages - these will share a template but each query different content
