We have two Magento 2 modules that don't work well together.
The Amasty AJAX shopping cart module should present the user with the item they've just added to the basket but when it's a configurable product this doesn't happen it just says undefined.
We believe this is due to an issue with another extension called Firebear Improved Configurable Product but it needs to be investigated.
We have a support package with Firebear so they can help with this issue but this only lasts for 40 days so it needs to be fixed before this.
