Expected duration: 1 - 2 weeks Objective: To develop a custom integration that enables recurring billing for subscriptions using Zoho Billing and Paystack. The native integration between Zoho Billing and Paystack does not currently support recurring payments, so this custom solution will bridge that gap.
Scope of Work: Assessment and Planning: Review existing Zoho Billing setup and Paystack API documentation. Identify key requirements and limitations of current systems. Define the payment flow for recurring charges, including customer onboarding, subscription management, payment collection, and handling of failed payments.
Design and Development: API Integration: Use Zoho Billing and Paystack APIs to create a seamless integration. Set up endpoints for creating, managing, and canceling subscriptions (if not already existing). Ensure that subscription data is synced between Zoho Billing and Paystack.
Recurring Payment Flow: Implement recurring payment functionality through Paystack. Handle automated retries for failed payments and notify customers as needed. Create webhooks to handle real-time updates from Paystack and update Zoho Billing accordingly.
Custom Extension/Plugin: Develop a custom extension within Zoho Billing using Deluge scripting to manage the integration. Ensure that the extension is user-friendly and can be maintained or updated easily in the future.
Testing and Validation: Perform end-to-end testing of the integration to ensure all payment flows work as expected. Validate that recurring payments are processed correctly and that customer data is accurately maintained in Zoho Billing. Implement error handling and logging to capture any integration issues for troubleshooting.
Deployment and Documentation: Deploy the custom integration to the production environment. Provide detailed documentation on the integration, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting guides. Offer training or handover sessions for the internal team to manage and operate the custom solution.
Technical Requirements: Expertise in Zoho Billing, Deluge scripting, and API integrations. Familiarity with Paystack API and handling recurring payments. Strong understanding of custom integration development, including security best practices for handling payment data.
