This project involves developing interactive dashboards and reports for job costing analysis using Power BI. The client needs to efficiently track expenses, labour hours spent and profitability across multiple ongoing construction projects. The current Excel-based solution is inefficient and does not provide real-time insights.
The freelancer will be provided with a sample dataset containing details of past projects like project ID, description, estimated budget, actual costs incurred on materials, sub-contracting charges, labour wages etc. The key deliverable is to develop sophisticated Power BI reports and dashboards that allow instant analysis of project performance metrics like cost overruns, projects profitability etc. at an individual as well as cumulative portfolio level. The visualisations should be easy to interpret for non-technical users.
The freelancer should have extensive experience of over 3 years in developing advanced DAX calculations and measures for complex financial modelling scenarios in Power BI. Sample dashboard designs and capability to handle follow-up enhancements are added advantages. Once completed, the dashboard package should help the client improve monitoring, budgeting and take timely corrective actions for ongoing projects.
