We seek a proficient engineering assistant for contracted work entailing procurement tasks and CAD plans. The role demands approximately 10-12 hours weekly to support our design projects.
Specifically, the assistant will be responsible for procuring various engineering supplies and materials as necessitated by our designs. Strong organization and record-keeping are essential to maintain accurate inventories and timely deliveries. Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components is preferred to understand our procurement needs.
In addition, the assistant should possess intermediate skills using CAD software such as Solidworks. occasional duties will include aiding engineers by drafting technical drawings, revising schematics, and updating 3D models. Proficiency with Solidworks, AutoCAD or similar design programs is expected.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate diligence in documentation and have one to two years of experience in engineering support functions. Applicants must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal oversight. Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to interface with procurement vendors andengineering teams.
This is a remote, contracted role with flexibility in weekly hours worked. The engineering assistant will play a valued support role and gain exposure to product development processes. We aim to find a dedicated, skilled professional to smoothly handle procurement and CAD assistance on a part-time basis.
