I require assistance in resolving and troubleshooting various Excel formula and functional issues that I have encountered. As a non-specialist Excel user, complex calculations and nested functions often prove challenging for me to decipher and implement correctly. The tasks will involve analyzing Excel workbooks containing numerical data and conditional formatting, identifying logic or syntax errors in the formulae, and providing corrected formulas or VBA code as solutions.
Some examples of the type of problems include calculating totals and weighted averages across multiple sheets, indexing and matching data based on criteria, aggregating variable ranges, and creating pivot tables and charts from raw data. My ultimate goal is to streamline processes, gain a better understanding of Excel's capabilities, and reduce reliance on manual workarounds. The ability to communicate steps clearly both verbally and in writing is important.
Prior experience working with advanced Excel features such as Vlookups, IF statements, conditional formatting etc. as well as excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills will be valued. As I will be providing the files and data for review, discretion must be maintained. This is a short-term contracting opportunity. The successful bidder will have proven expertise in untangling complex Excel issues to deliver robust, well documented solutions.
