We are in the process of registering a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) in Scotland. Our charity aims to establish a local community hub in Edinburgh, supported by three trustees, including myself.
The hub will serve as a centre for various community-focused activities, including:
Cultural education programs for children Digital literacy classes for both young people and the elderly Cultural celebrations Coding classes for kids
Initially, we plan to rent a property to deliver these services. However, our long-term goal is to raise funds from the community to purchase a dedicated building using donated contributions.
Do you have any prior experience with setting up an SCIO or other charities?
