I require assistance in building a comprehensive profit and loss model for a small business in Excel. The model needs to project revenues and expenses on a monthly basis for the next 3 years. Revenues will need to be estimated based on expected sales growth assumptions and existing customer base. Expenses will need to be itemized to include cost of goods sold, rent, utilities, payroll, marketing, etc. Formulas would need to be set up dynamically so the user can easily adjust assumptions to see the impact on profits. Charts and pivot tables should be included to visualize key metrics over time. The candidate should have extensive experience constructing detailed financial models in Excel, especially for profitability analysis. Proficiency with Excel functions like IF statements, VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS is essential to design the model with flexibility. The finished product will be used internally for forecasting and strategic decision making. Expertise, creativity and attention to detail is key to deliver a polished, user-friendly model within the agreed timeframe.
