The core responsibilities include cleaning raw sales transaction data, identifying trends and patterns, performing comparative analysis across time periods and product categories, and creating interactive dashboards and visualizations to present key findings and recommendations.
The provided data covers a period of two years and includes fields such as product IDs, quantities, prices, locations, dates, customer segments. The successful candidate will be skilled in SQL for extracting and manipulating this unstructured data. Advanced analytical skills in Excel, Tableau or Power BI for data modeling and visual storytelling is a must. You will analyze Sales, Costs, Profits at item level on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis to understand profitable and loss making items. Identification of top selling items and best/worst performing areas/branches/categories will help devise targeted marketing strategies.
Knowledge of R or Python is preferable for predictive modeling capabilities to forecast sales and optimizing promotions. Ultimately, the deliverables should transform the raw figures into actionable insights for well-informed business decisions.
