We require the design and development of mechanical components using CATIA v5 software. The key aspects of this project include generating solid models, assembling parts, applying dimensions and tolerances as per engineering specifications. The freelancer should have extensive experience in creating accurate 3D part and assembly models optimizing for manufacturability. The models need to be fully defined with detailed dimensions, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) information. The CAD drawings and 3D models would be used for production purposes. The modelling should follow best practices to ensure quality outputs. The candidate must be proficient in designing complex shapes, sheet metal components, weldments and being able to manipulate such models as required. Understanding engineering design concepts and standards is essential. The deliverables will be the 3D solid part files along with dimensioned drawings in standard CATIA v5 format. Drawing and model reviews will be conducted to ensure everything is created as per expectations before project completion.
