Architect appt today, need a competent accredited engineer, if SER, all the better, to review architect drawings, make recomendations, provide calcs & matl spec for a partial loft conversion (staircase, room in roof and bathroom, est area 6m x 5m). Our dwelling is 15m long x 8m wide, within an 1880s sandstone semi-detached, loft conversion to be constructed within permitted dev rights so no planning permissions required. Current roof configuration is traditional, roof joists 8x2s,floor joists 7x2s and trusts 6x2s, all approx 450mm centres...
