I am setting up a new ticketing platform similar to eventbrite however it will be structured as a not for profit entity, similar to ticket tailor with the goal of helping to support grass roots promotors and organisers where possible.
I want an accountant who has experience working with not for profit entities.
The platform will generate money from it's booking fee's and also optional add on subscriptions, this finance will be reinvested back into the platforms features, service, staff and excess (profits) will be redirected into a fund created and managed by myself and other trusted reps of the platform who will use it to finance the creation and development of events with a focus on grassroot promotors, in circumstances where events would not happen without this finance.
It is a community orientated platform with great reward schemes and incentives for people to use it compared to competitor platforms however it is not a charity as such, it should be structured as a not for profit entity where it has staff, employee's, operates like a business but the profits are recycled.
Like Elon Musk, this will be one business entity I work within, alongside other commercial for profit interests I have. There could be a small overlap as by default, other business interests I have are promoted but, all the finance generated via the ticketing platform will be recycled as a not for profit and I would like an experienced accountant who has experience with this that can help me.
It's a baby platform, not launched yet. However, it could grow to be a global platform and hopefully the biggest and most successful platform in the entire world. |
