We are seeking an experienced and proactive freelance recruitment consultant to assist us in sourcing a highly capable Virtual Assistant. This is a crucial hire to support our business operations. The consultant will be responsible for managing the initial stages of the recruitment process, from CV review and candidate screening to presenting a qualified shortlist for our final review and interview stages.
Responsibilities:
Understanding Requirements: Collaborate closely with us to gain a thorough understanding of the Virtual Assistant role, required skills, experience, and desired attributes. CV Sourcing and Review: Review applications received from multiple job platforms, including People Per Hour (previous applicants), Indeed, LinkedIn, and other freelancer portals. Proactively source potential candidates using their own job board subscriptions (e.g., Indeed) to expand the candidate pool. Efficiently and effectively filter a potentially large volume of CVs against pre-defined criteria. Candidate Screening: Conduct initial telephone screenings with shortlisted candidates to assess their suitability for the role, focusing on their experience, skills, and communication abilities (telephone manner). Shortlist Creation: Present a well-qualified shortlist of candidates (number to be agreed upon) who meet our requirements and have successfully passed the initial screening. Communication and Updates: Maintain clear and timely communication with us throughout the recruitment process, providing updates on progress and any challenges.
Requirements:
Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience as a recruitment consultant, ideally with a track record of successfully sourcing administrative or virtual assistant roles. Native English Speaker: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. CV Review Expertise: Ability to efficiently and accurately assess CVs against specific criteria. Telephone Screening Skills: Confident and professional telephone manner with the ability to effectively assess candidate suitability through initial conversations. Resourcefulness: Ability to utilize various job boards and sourcing methods to identify potential candidates. Access to Job Boards: Ideally, the consultant should have their own active subscriptions to relevant job boards (e.g., Indeed) to proactively search for candidates. UK Based Understanding: Familiarity with the UK employment market and candidate expectations is highly desirable. Independent and Organized: Ability to work independently, manage their time effectively, and deliver results within agreed timelines.

A shortlist of highly qualified candidates (number to be agreed upon) with accompanying notes from the initial telephone screenings.
Project Budget and Timeline:
We are seeking a fixed project price for these services.
