I currently have an e-commerce website whose initial development was completed in-house. All products have been categorized and listed on the site according to the pre-existing information architecture. However, to modernize the shopping experience, I have devised an updated design concept for how products will be displayed across category pages. The proposed layout reimagines how items are organized in a simple, yet impactful manner.
Implementation of the revamped design would entail manually applying the new template to each of the 20 top-level categories currently present on the site. As I have already crafted design files specifying the desired visual structure and formatting, the hired developer's primary responsibilities would be integrating those graphics and code on the backend to mirror the prototype across relevant category pages. No additional features, content population, or other substantive changes are within scope.
This project presents a tailored design commission to reskin an established e-commerce site through duplication of a predefined product listing template. The focused objectives of this engagement are reproduction of a static mockup design onto live category pages to achieve a refreshed yet consistent shopping experience across the site in an expedited timeline.
