We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with accounting software, a solid understanding of claims management (Sales Payment, Invoice Payment), and proven expertise in processing BAS (Business Activity Statements) for businesses based in Australia. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations, and providing valuable support to our management team.
Key Responsibilities: Accounting System Management: Perform regular bank reconciliations, invoicing, and financial reporting using Xero. Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable. Process payroll and payslips for employees, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Claims Management: Manage and process claims, maintaining accurate records and supporting timely resolutions.
General Accounting Support: Provide monthly and quarterly financial reports to management. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulations.
Payroll Expertise: Strong knowledge of payroll processing and payslips within Xero. Understanding of superannuation, leave accruals, and other payroll-related functions.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and other accounting tools. Ability to manage claims and financial records accurately and efficiently.
Personal Qualities: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
