This project seeks to develop a Know Your Customer data collection tool that utilizes profile pictures and optical character recognition capabilities for identification documents. The tool should be built using Next.js for frontend, Tailwind CSS for styling, TypeScript for types, Express for backend API, and MongoDB for database with AWS S3 for file storage. A key requirement is multi-language OCR support to extract text from IDs in different languages. The developer will be responsible for designing and implementing the UI for uploading documents and extracting necessary KYC fields via OCR. Data needs to be securely stored in MongoDB with appropriate validation and security. Development is to be conducted with best practices of accessibility, performance optimization and responsiveness.
