I am starting a new clothing and apparel company that will also sell home decor items, candles, soaps, lotions, coffee mugs, tumblers, pillows, and other fun items. These items will feature quotes, and I am looking for a graphic designer to help me produce around 80 different designs that will then be altered for all the different applications.
NOTE: This is an LGBTQ+ company and the design work will feature funny quotes that might be offensive to some. I post this to make sure no one applies that might be offended by the gay community.
This position will pay $25 per hour and will be limited to 10-15 hours per week to start, on an ongoing basis. We have quite literally hundreds of designs in the queue and estimate this will at least be a six month assignment.
All design work will be completed in Canva in a workspace we invite you to.
Our workflow: - Each week we'll send over a new batch of inspirations (quotes, sizes, design inspirations, etc) and ask you to come up with a few designs for each. - Take creative feedback to help narrow down the designs into finals - Reproduce the finalized design to fit on all the different products it will aplly to (tshirts, sweatshirts, hats, mugs, candles, etc) - Use our system to generate product photos and upload them into our Shopify store
The ideal candidate will have:
• Proven experience creating bold, playful designs for apparel and merchandise (portfolio required) • Proficiency in Canva for creating graphics, mockups, and social media visuals • Strong eye for typography, layout, and color — especially for LGBTQ+ and streetwear-inspired designs • Ability to design across product types (t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, home décor, etc.) • Understanding of print production needs (screen printing, DTG, sublimation) and how to prepare files accordingly • Creative thinker who can work within brand guidelines while adding fresh ideas • Strong communication skills and ability to take feedback and meet deadlines
