Expected duration: Ongoing Are you a freelance telesales or cold calling expert based in the Bristol or Southwest UK region?
We are seeking a confident and motivated Telesales Executive to generate qualified leads for our card payment solutions business targeting independent merchants in Bristol and surrounding BS postcode areas.
You’ll be reaching out to businesses such as retailers, hospitality venues, tradespeople, automotive firms, dentists, florists, convenience stores, and more — offering them a free card terminal rate review and introducing the benefits of our service.
Key Responsibilities:
Cold call local Bristol-based businesses to generate interest and book face-to-face or phone appointments.
Confidently communicate the benefits of switching to a more trusted and fairly priced card payment provider.
Source your own local leads using online directories, social media, or business listing sites.
Follow up with leads via phone, email, or LinkedIn where appropriate.
Keep a clear record of outreach and booked appointments.
Requirements:
Must be based in the Bristol or surrounding area and willing to travel to our office every now and again (although the role is mainly a remote one)
Proven experience in outbound telesales or cold calling, ideally in the merchant services or payment processing sector.
Must have own phone, computer, and reliable internet connection.
Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively.
Strong English speaking and writing skills.
Based in the UK or with excellent understanding of UK small business culture.
Self-sourced lead generation is essential, though basic support and guidance will be provided.
Nice to Have:
Understanding of card terminals, EPOS systems, PCI compliance, or other payment industry concepts.
Experience using CRM tools and LinkedIn/social media for business outreach.
