We are building a satellite-based farming advisory web application for Bangladeshi farmers in partnership with Farmonaut (https://farmonaut.com/ ). The app will allow farmers to register their fields, map land coordinates on a satellite map, and view real-time agricultural insights such as:
Soil moisture levels
Nutrient levels
Vegetation health (NDVI, etc.)
Weather and satellite imagery updates
AI-driven farming advisory
The system will also integrate insurance verification services for banks and serve as a complete farming solution.
We already have access to Farmonaut’s API, which provides the required data. The primary task is to build a clean and functional web app UI to fetch and display this data in an easy-to-understand format for farmers.
Responsibilities
Integrate Farmonaut’s API to fetch field-level satellite data
Build a farmer onboarding system (login, registration, farm mapping with coordinates)
Display field data with interactive dashboards, charts, and graphs
Develop an AI-based advisory view (data-driven insights provided by API)
Ensure smooth map integration (selecting land area on a map to retrieve data)
Create a simple, farmer-friendly UI/UX in Bangla/English
Build scalable architecture for future features (insurance, financial integrations)
Requirements
Strong experience in web app development (React, Vue, or Angular + Node.js/Python backend)
Familiarity with REST APIs and data visualization (Chart.js, Recharts, or D3.js)
Experience with map integration (Google Maps, Leaflet, or Mapbox)
Understanding of authentication systems (JWT/OAuth)
Bonus: Experience with agritech solutions or satellite imaging APIs
Budget & Timeline
Initial Budget: $80–100 (prototype / MVP)
Long-term engagement possible (future development & scaling)
Deliverable: A working prototype web app to onboard farmers and demonstrate functionality for pilots and investment pitches
