STA Technical (www.statechnical.com) is an engineering company that specialises in the design and manufacture of parts installed on petrol stations across the UK.
We currently need a CAD designer that can draw up the following:
Pump Cradles: These are frames that are set into the forecourt ground. The pipework from the underground fuel tanks is fixed to the STA cradles and the fuel pumps are then bolted to the cradles.
Adaptor Plates: These are used when the station owner wishes to keep the existing cradle but wants a new model of pump fitted. To install these, the existing pump is removed, the adaptor plate is bolted to the existing cradle, and the new model pump is then bolted on to the adaptor plate.

(Solidworks versions of the above will be issued at a later date)
The successful applicant will be proficient in Solid Works and needs to be able turn designs round, ideally in a 12-24 hour period. A level of engineering English is also required to ensure that briefs are fully interpreted.
We are looking for a freelancer looking for a long-term relationship with STA (through PPH).
