Expected duration: 3 - 4 weeks We are looking for an experienced SharePoint designer/developer to design and build a modern SharePoint Online homepage and reusable department site template for our organisation.
The intranet will serve as a central digital hub, linking to departmental sites. Each department will later manage its own site using the provided template.
Our SharePoint environment is already set up within Office 365, with the domain and main site established. However, no design work has been completed — we are starting from a clean slate and now want to bring the intranet to life with a fully branded and professional look.
Key Objectives Design and implement a modern, visually appealing SharePoint homepage that reflects our brand identity. Develop a reusable department site template consistent with our style and structure. Ensure the design aligns with our brand guidelines, including colours, typography, logos, and spacing. Deliver a layout that is clean, responsive, and user-friendly across desktop and mobile. Provide guidance and documentation so departments can easily create and manage their own sites.
Core Features Homepage – engaging landing page with company news, announcements, and key links to departmental sites. Department Template – flexible SharePoint site design replicable for each business area. Consistent Branding – styling, fonts, and imagery drawn directly from our brand guidelines. Search & Navigation – clear, intuitive structure that supports quick access to key content.
Deliverables Fully functional SharePoint Online homepage. Reusable departmental site template with configuration instructions. Application of corporate branding (colours, fonts, logos, and layout). Documentation and handover for internal administration. Optional short post-delivery support period.
Preferred Skills & Experience Proven expertise in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 design/development. Strong understanding of modern SharePoint frameworks and UX principles. Experience applying corporate brand guidelines in SharePoint. Knowledge of Power Automate, PowerApps, and SPFx (SharePoint Framework) is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

We are also open to discussing an extended support arrangement for ongoing SharePoint design, development, and enhancements across the business. This could include continuous improvement, content updates, and design evolution over time.
