Expected duration: 1 - 6 months We are seeking a highly self-motivated and tech-savvy Remote Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure the accuracy of our day-to-day accounting. The ideal candidate thrives in an independent, remote setting and is an expert in cloud-based accounting software. You will be the backbone of our financial operations, playing a critical role in maintaining our fiscal health from your own home office.
Key Responsibilities Manage Daily Transactions: Accurately record all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, using cloud-based accounting systems.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, manage customer invoicing, and follow up on receivables.
Digital Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations with a keen eye for identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Payroll Support: Assist in processing semi-monthly or monthly payroll through integrated platforms
Financial Reporting: Generate and share key financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with management on a regular basis.
Qualification:
An Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is a plus, but not required. Equivalent certification or proven hands-on experience will also be considered.
Foundational Knowledge: Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles (e.g., debits/credits, balance sheet, income statement).
Tech-Savvy Learner: Strong comfort with technology. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and a willingness to master cloud-based accounting software (like QuickBooks Online).
A Remote-Ready Mindset: Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to manage time effectively in a work-from-home setting.
Exceptional Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective virtual collaboration.
