WeGlue is a mobile app (iOS and Android) that centralizes university clubs, events, messaging, and student connections in one platform.
Core features include student authentication, browsing and joining clubs, weekly event feeds with “going” status, real-time 1:1 and club messaging, calendar sync, notifications, and a personalized “My Week” dashboard. Club leaders can create and manage events, while university admins can approve clubs, moderate content, and view basic analytics. The tech stack is React Native for the frontend, Node.js (Express/NestJS) with PostgreSQL for the backend, JWT security, and Firebase/Socket.IO for real-time messaging and notifications.
The MVP must had to be done on production-ready by Dec 28, supporting 1,000+ students, with advanced analytics, multi-university support, and web app planned post-launch, but it could not have done.
