Project Overview I am creating a Mandarin vocabulary bingo game for young children (ages 3–5) and am looking for a native Mandarin female voice to record short audio clips with accurate, natural pronunciation. The recordings will be used for website audio for the bingo call cards, so clarity, warmth, and consistency are extremely important.
Voice Requirements (Very Important) Female voice Native Mandarin speaker Taiwan-style Mandarin preferred NO Beijing / northern accent (no heavy erhua, no stiff textbook tone) Voice should be: Soft Gentle Calm Friendly Clear and easy for young children to understand Not exaggerated or “cartoonish” Natural parent/teacher-like tone
Content to Record Approximately 35 short audio clips total: ~30 single-word vocabulary items ~5 very short, simple sentences All scripts will be provided in Chinese characters + pinyin Each clip is very short (1–4 seconds)
Technical Requirements Each audio clip must be delivered as: Individual MP3 files File naming format will be provided (e.g. 01_dog.mp3, 02_cat.mp3) Clean recordings only: No background noise No music No sound effects Consistent volume and pacing across all files
Deliverables 35 individual MP3 files Correct pronunciation and tones Slightly slower pacing suitable for children One revision round included (if minor pronunciation or pacing adjustments are needed)
Audition / Sample (Required) Please include a short sample recording (or link to samples) of: Single Mandarin vocabulary words Spoken in a Taiwan-style Mandarin accent Calm, clear, child-friendly tone
