Overview We are looking for a highly proactive freelancer based in, or deeply familiar with, Nigeria’s sports and iGaming ecosystem to support organic audience growth, community building, and social media engagement across key channels.
The focus of this role is organic traffic only, not paid media.
Core Objectives A) Organic Traffic Sourcing & Posting
Identify and engage with relevant Nigerian Telegram groups, WhatsApp communities, and social channels within: • Sports news • Football discussion • Betting communities • Tipsters and prediction groups • Share approved content in a natural, non-spammy way to drive: • Brand awareness • Community joins • Engagement
Continuously discover new high-value communities and maintain an updated list.
B) Build & Grow Owned Communities. Growing membership organically.
Create and manage brand-owned Telegram and WhatsApp groups focused on: • Sports news updates • Match insights & discussion • Tipster advice and predictions • Fan engagement and conversation
Responsibilities include: • Setting up and structuring groups/channels • Posting daily relevant content • Moderating conversations and removing spam • Encouraging discussion and repeat visits
Responsibilities: • Create and publish regular posts • Respond to comments and messages • Engage with relevant Nigerian sports conversations
Follow and interact with: • Sports pages • Influencers • Tipsters • Football communities Maintain consistent tone, activity, and responsiveness
Deliverables: • Daily posting across owned communities • Regular organic sharing in external groups • Weekly growth & engagement report including: • New followers • Active users
Ideally (but not essential) the candidate will be based in Nigeria or deeply connected to Nigerian sports culture. Candidates who understand sports betting and sports market will also be considered.
Strong understanding of: • Football fandom • Betting communities • Telegram & WhatsApp ecosystems • Proven experience growing organic social or community audiences • Excellent written English • Highly proactive and self-directed
Success Metrics (First 60–90 Days): • Steady growth of owned Telegram & WhatsApp communities • Consistent engagement on social media posts • Increased inbound interest from organic channels • Clear reporting and insight into what content drives traction
