We are looking for a skilled web developer to fix an issue with CORS errors on our HTML/JS/CSS website deployed to Firebase. The website is designed to display RSS feed blog posts using feedburner, which takes feed from a Medium account. However, we are encountering a 404 CORS error in the console.
We have implemented a JavaScript function using the cors-anywhere and xml2js libraries, but the error persists. We need someone with experience in this area to read and correct our current code. We do not want to use Firebase functions or any other solution, we need our current solution resolved.
Responsibilities:
Read and understand our current code to diagnose and resolve the CORS error.
Use the cors-anywhere and xml2js libraries to enable displaying of RSS feed blog posts on the website.
Ensure the website displays all RSS feed blog posts correctly, without any CORS errors.
Test the website to confirm that the issue has been resolved.
Provide a detailed explanation of the changes made, including documentation and comments.
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in web development, with a focus on JavaScript and AJAX requests.
Strong knowledge of CORS and how to resolve CORS errors.
Experience with the cors-anywhere and xml2js libraries.
Familiarity with Firebase and how to deploy websites to Firebase.
Attention to detail and ability to read and correct code.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to complete the job within an hour.
If you meet the requirements and can start immediately, please apply with your resume and a brief explanation of your experience with CORS errors, the cors-anywhere and xml2js libraries, and Firebase. Only candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
I require applicants to respond directly to my job post and not use a generic, copied-and-pasted proposal that is sent out to multiple job postings. Failure to do so will result in your job proposal being disregarded.
