Expected duration: 1 - 6 months About Us: Rhythms of the Diaspora is a UK-based cultural arts organization rooted in African and Caribbean dance, wellness, and education. We're expanding our community impact through schools outreach, creative partnerships, and digital storytelling — and we’re looking for an exceptional Virtual Assistant to help us stay organised and level up our operations.
This role starts at 5–7 hours per week, with the possibility of growing as we grow. You’ll be supporting high-level outreach, scheduling, and brand organisation — helping bring our mission to life behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities: Outreach – cold emails to schools and partners, follow-ups, building contact lists Scheduling – booking meetings, confirming logistics, calendar organization Relationship Building – light comms with schools, orgs, community leads Content Scheduling – plug in posts to our content calendar (template provided) Logistics Booking – studio time, venue viewings, taskers/couriers, etc. Admin Support – organizing brand documents, contact databases, folders Project Follow-Up – help keep campaigns (like gift drops or workshops) on track
Must-Haves: Fluent English (written + spoken) Professional, clear communicator Strong organization & time management Familiarity with AI tools to work smarter (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI) Confidence using Google Suite + Notion (non-negotiable) Able to work independently and handle deadlines Previous experience in virtual admin or similar roles A good eye for detail, clarity, and structure
Bonus If You Have: Experience in creative, education, or community-facing projects Comfort using Canva, Airtable, or content scheduling tools Confidence in light relationship-building or partnership support Passion for arts, dance, culture, or wellness
